Bogut out 8-12 weeks with ankle fracture

MILWAUKEE (AP)—Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut is expected to miss8-12 weeks with a fractured left ankle.

The team disclosed the update after more tests on Friday, one day aftersaying Bogut would be out indefinitely.

Bogut was hurt Wednesday night against Houston when his foot landedawkwardly on a Rockets player’s foot.

In 12 games this season, Bogut averaged 11.3 points, a team-high 8.3rebounds, 2.6 assists, one steal and a team-high 2.0 blocked shots (T-7th inNBA) in 30 minutes per game.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft missed the end of the 2009-2010season when he dislocated his right elbow and broke his right hand in a fall. Healso missed 43 games with an injured lower back in the 2008-09 season.
