Bosh lifts Raptors to fifth straight win

TORONTO (AP)—Chris Bosh(notes) had 26 points and 15 rebounds, Andrea Bargnani(notes) scored17 points and the Toronto Raptors won their fifth straight game, beating theIndiana Pacers 117-102 on Sunday night.

Former Pacers guard Jarrett Jack(notes) scored 16 points and was one of sevenRaptors to reach double figures as Toronto shot a season-best 60.2 percent (50for 83) and topped 100 points for the 13th straight game.

Luther Head(notes) scored 15 points as Indiana lost its third straight. Troy Murphy(notes)and Brandon Rush(notes) each had 14.

Danny Granger(notes) came in averaging nearly 30 points in his past three gamesagainst Toronto but was ineffective in this one, shooting 3 for 13 and scoringjust eight points.

The Pacers, who overcame a 23-point, second-quarter deficit to beat Toronto105-101 on Jan. 11 in Indianapolis, trailed 95-86 through three quarters beforetying it on Head’s 3-pointer with 7:59 left, capping an 11-2 run to start thefourth.

Bosh made three baskets as the Raptors replied with an 8-1 spurt, making it105-98 with 5:39 remaining, and Toronto wasn’t challenged again.

Bargnani, hampered by a sore foot and held to just two points in Thursday’s106-104 victory at New York, started for Toronto but rookie DeMar DeRozan(notes)(sprained right ankle) missed his third straight game, with Sonny Weems(notes) takinghis place and scoring a career-high 13 points.

Hedo Turkoglu(notes), who had season highs of 26 points and 11 rebounds Thursday atNew York, was knocked out in the first minute of this one when he took an elbowin the face from Mike Dunleavy. Turkoglu, who had swelling over his right eye,went for X-rays and did not return.

Jose Calderon(notes) scored 10 points in the second quarter and Jack added six moreas Toronto led 63-59 at the half.

Toronto pulled away in the third behind 12 points from Bosh and seven fromBargnani, taking a 95-86 edge into the fourth.
