Bucks sign 2nd-round pick Hobson

MILWAUKEE (AP)—The Milwaukee Bucks have signed second-round draft pickDarington Hobson(notes).
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound junior was taken 37th overall out of New Mexico inthis year’s draft.
Terms were not disclosed when the signing was announced Friday.
Hobson averaged 16.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists over three collegeseasons, the first two at Eastern Utah. Last season at New Mexico, Hobsonaveraged career-highs in rebounds (9.3) and assists (4.6) while scoring 15.9points and shooting a career-best 36.1 percent from 3-point range (39-108).
Hobson was the Mountain West Conference’s Newcomer of the Year and Player ofthe Year. He was also named a Third Team All-American by The Associated Press.
