Bulls G Hinrich to miss 1-2 weeks

CHICAGO (AP)—Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich(notes) will be out one to two weekswith a sprained left thumb, an injury he got during a practice last week whilethe team was on a West Coast road trip.
Hinrich was examined Monday by Bulls head team physician Dr. Brian Cole andhand specialists Dr. John Fernandez and Dr. Marc Cohen of Midwest Orthopedics atRush University. Their examination confirmed the earlier diagnosis of a leftthumb sprain.
Hinrich missed the Bulls game last week at Utah. Last season he was out for31 games after tearing a ligament in his right thumb.
Hinrich has appeared in 13 games this season, averaging 8.9 points and 4.3assists.
